Hair Academy School of Barbering & Beauty is one of the first hair schools in Delaware. Hair Academy was founded in 1981 and is located in the Shoppes of 896. Since 2011, new owners Ray, Jonathan, and Christopher have used their skills and expertise as licensed professionals in this industry to take the school to new levels. Under new management Hair Academy has been capable of redeveloping fresh and new curriculum that allows students to constantly evolve with today’s trends, as well as becoming Nationally Accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Careers Arts & Sciences.
Their mission was and continues to be, to train men and women to become professional barbers, cosmetologists and/or instructors. They put emphasis on providing a specialized service based on having knowledgeable instructors. This allows their students to experience hands-on training within the barbering, cosmetology, or instructor field. They also put a strong emphasis on instructing their students on the proper business management skills necessary for licensure and employment.
